The heart of the system is a host computer which can operate on a variety of communication paths or networks. This access control system determines who, where and when people can enter a property, a building or a room within the building. By adding field panels, workstations, modules and field devices, a seamless integration can be achieved.

The system grants access based upon the credentials presented. Typical credentials include an access badge, access card, a key fob, or a biometric feature such as a retinal scan or fingerprint recognition.

MidCo can build your system with a variety of access devices for complete system control and security. Motion detectors, door contacts, glass breaks, turnstiles, revolving doors, barrier gates, critical gas and HVAC monitoring can be added or incorporated into the system. Wireless systems are also available.

Your MidCo-provided access control system can also integrate with other applications and peripherals such as the building fire alarm system, visitor management, ID badging, video imaging, time & attendance, asset tagging and tracking, paging and emergency communications.
